Welcome to Saint Therese Parish

Update - Fr. Davis
Last updated: Friday, 01-22-2010 12:21pm

A warm and joyful welcome to our parish website!

My name is Father Davis; I am the pastor of St. Therese, a church that serves more than 2800 registered families in the Succasunna/Roxbury area. Working with me on our staff are Father Robert Hooper, Deacon Bruce Olsen and Deacon Anthony Signorelli. Sister Mary Elizabeth Davies is the principal of our elementary school and Mrs. Lori Tumminello is the Director of our Religious Education Program. Also, on staff is Mr. Michael Harding, the Director of our Youth Ministry & Confirmation Program, and Mrs. Robin Porter , our Music Director. I really consider myself (as well as the parish!) blessed with such good people.

We have devoted a considerable amount of time to the preparation of this website, intending to let our parishioners know facts that should be of special interest to them. We hope that it will help you become involved in the life of St. Therese Parish. We need your ideas, your energy, and your input.

Our parishioners here at St. Therese have been so very generous with their time and talent to meet the needs of every age group in our parish family. It is my hope that you too may personally experience the blessing God has in store for you as you participate in ministries within our community. It is my conviction that our program of Time and Talent, means putting God at the center of our lives. The purpose of giving God our time and talent is to give our very selves back to the one who has given us life, love and salvation. I know that God will have many blessings in store for you and the people you touch through the ministry that you participate in. I thank God for you every day and for the openness and availability you bring in service to our parish family.

We have initiated, as a parish, “God’s Plan for Giving”, a tithing plan for sharing our Treasure with God. We trust that it will bring to our community a measure of financial security and peace of mind to all who participate in parish life. The decision you make on how much to contribute is between you and God, but I ask you to please read the material you will receive in your “new parishioner welcome packet” carefully, think it over, and to pray before you make your decision.

My hope is that you can feel that St. Therese is truly your spiritual home, one that you can support financially with a joyful spirit and a place where your talents and time will be placed at God’s service for His glory and your own growth in holiness. May He bless you and all those whom you love!

Yours in Christ,

Rev. Joseph Davis, Pastor
