The Staff at Saint Therese
Deacon Bruce Olsen
Deacon Bruce has been a member of St. Therese parish since 1976. He was born in East Meadow, NY and
received his undergraduate degree from Cathedral College of the Immaculate Conception, Douglaston, NY
and his Masters from Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ. Ordained to the permanent diaconate on
May 5th, 2001. He teaches theology at Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell and resides in Panther Valley.
Deacon Bruce heads our RCIA process, is chairman of the Liturgy Committee and the Director of Liturgical
Ministries (which includes our Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Lectors, and Altar Servers).
