The Staff at Saint Therese
Deacon Anthony Signorelli
I was born and raised in the Bronx, and attended New York City public school. I married my high school
sweetheart Dolores and we have two children, Laurie Ann and Michael and four grandchildren. I attended
Manhattan College and received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. While attending Manhattan College
I was an undergraduate research associate for three years at NYU’s uptown campus. After graduation I attended
the University of Notre Dame and received a PhD in physical chemistry.
I worked at Honeywell International for 31 years in various positions within the Corporate Research & Technology
sector, and as a research portfolio manager for several Honeywell businesses before retiring as Director of
Analytical Sciences. While at Honeywell I helped to form and ultimately led a global analytical organization
which was declared an industry Best Practice.
After retiring from Corporate America, I joined the faculty of the Science Department at Pope John XXIII High
School, in Sparta, New Jersey.
I was ordained a Deacon on May 8, 1993. In 1998 I was commissioned by Bishop Rodimer as a Work-Life Minister
after completing a course of study under the guidance of Woodstock Theological Union. I visited a number of
parishes in the Paterson and Newark Dioceses team teaching an 8-10 week course on work-life balance and the
spirituality of work. At St. Therese I have been involved in the training of altar servers, lectors, presenting
special topics at evening adult study programs (e.g., Prophets, Parables, Miracles, etc.), baptismal formation
and RCIA. I am presently leading the parish’s evangelization efforts – in particular “Why Catholic?” - and
Adult Bible Study.
