The Staff at Saint Therese
Mrs. Lisa Hirschfeld, School Principal
Catholic school education has been integral in Mrs. Lisa Hirschfeld’s life. She attended
elementary school at St. Andrew’s in Clifton and Paul VI High School, also in Clifton. Mrs. Hirschfeld
received her B.A. in Biology and Education (K-12 Science) from Caldwell College and her M.A. in Educational
Leadership at the College of Saint Elizabeth.
Her professional teaching career began at St. Anthony School in Passaic where she taught grades 5 through 8,
St. Philip School, Clifton, grades 6 through 8 and her home parish of St. Andrew, grade 8, before coming to
St. Therese School in 2000 as the seventh grade religion, science, and social studies teacher. In 2008, after
receiving her master’s degree in educational leadership, she took the position of Vice Principal at St. Therese
and in July 2010 the position of Principal.
Mrs. Hirschfeld and her husband, Bill, are Eucharistic Ministers at their parish, Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha,
Sparta and are active in their boating organization teaching safe boating classes to the public.
